In reading the beginning tutorial I need clarification on the following comment " IF YOU ARE RUNNING WINDOWS, you need to install a driver. Go to http://www.pjrc.com/teensy/td_download.html and install Teensyduino. You only need to install the driver (the first part of the install) – once it prompts you to install the remainder of the program you can hit cancel. Is there more than one install remainder of program prompt. I downloaded arduino as instructed.

The driver is needed in windows to use the Chrome app, generally used for indoor experiments which are connected to your computer. You only need to install this little thing (not even Arduino, unless you want to update the firmware):

http://www.pjrc.com/teensy/serial_install.exe

That's it - then everything should work for you.
