Does the green charging indicator on the 2.0 devices turn off at 100% charge?

No, it is only indicating that the instrument is charging/connected to a power supply (which can be a computer).

Ok, then I might have a problem with all of my new devices because the green light does not stay on when attached to a power supply.

Hi Craig, Do they flash instead of staying lit? If so, there is no problem.

Hi Atsuko,

The charge indicator lights do not flash. The indicator lights on the devices turn off after 10 to 15 minutes. However, the devices are 100% charged.

Hi Craig,

sorry for the confusion, I talked to our engineer and I was wrong, the little LED next to the USB port does turn off, when the battery is 100% charged. Probably the instruments on my desk are never long enough around to be fully charged... We confirmed this, using a bare board to test it. I will add this to the documentation, so the information is available with the next iteration.

So all your devices are fine!

The LED Atsuko was talking about is the indicator LED on top, which flashes, when the instrument is turned on, the color indicating the charge state.

Excellent! That is a nice feature.

The indicator lights on the top do flash when the instrument is on.

Hi Craig, IF ACTIVATED, indicator on the top will flash every 10s and indicate the charge status. Green=charged, yellow=med, red=not charged, followed by a blue flash if USB is connected/charging.

Note also that the LED also flashes more rapidly when the clamp is opened. This is also a good indicator of the calibration of the open and closed positions.

The V1.0 devices also have a light feature, but the user must open the clamp to see that the measuring LEDs give similar information.

Dave, thanks for the additional information about the top indicator light.
