The measurement area difference seems to have been the issue with previous SPAD comparison projects. Using a guide and averaging the Minolta values improved our linear regressions with slopes closer to 1 and a higher R squared of 0.866 and 0.927.
We have reasonably good values comparing the standard equipment (Minolta) to our SPAD measurements for chlorophyll in two major crops: soybean and corn.
