Evaluation of Quinoa in different environments


Quinoa is a new crop to Malawi. This crop is being introduced from United States of America. There are 9 varieties being introduced in Malawi. This project is to assess the adaptability of these varieties in different agro-ecological zones in Malawi, during cool dry and hot dry season under irrigation. These will be planted in at least 5 locations throughout Malawi. Data will be collected at initial flowering stage and at grain filling stage.
