Community Development

By Matthew Daniel

Hey Team, I have some thoughts about community development. I think it is important to be able to search a particular group of researchers. For example I would like to know who is working on trees. Then I would like to search for Arborist who are collecting data on trees. Just Know I wanted to see who is collecting data in Australia. I am off overseas soon so I would ... read more

Update Firmware message

By Patrick Quille

Hi, We currently have 2 beta photosync devices. Today when using both devices we got error messages on our phones saying update firmware (v1.01 to v1.04). Where do we need to go to find these firmware updates? Also our computers do not recognise the devices through the usb connection. Is there aditional software we must download to allow this? Thanks, Patrick

By Greg Austic

QUESTION (Rodrigo): I want to save raw fluorescence data in my computer as a .csv file to work with it in excel. I do it with measurements saved in the app notebook without a problem, those measurements are taken using a protocol directly from the chrome app (not in a project). I was wondering if with data saved in a project I can do the same. I mean, can I save saved the f... read more

Determinat of Some Carotenoids

By Andriy Herts, Nataliia Herts

Hi. I saw protocol for measurement anthocyanins (only V1.0). 510-540 nm have absorption maxima most natural anthocyanins. The absorption spectra of carotenoids have an intense band at 400-500 nm. I know that Carotenoids (zeaxanthin (480 nm), violaxanthin (490)) provide non-photochemical quenching etc. How do you think. Is it possible to create a protocol for their deter... read more

How can this spectrometer instrument be used for general purpose gardening?

By John Gilmore

I work at Hamamatsu and we are considering purchasing one of these units as it includes our microspectrometer (C12666MA). We are thinking to use it as a possible demo unit at future tradeshows. But we're not sure how the average laymen will relate? What can an amateur home vegetable gardener gain from these reading?

Time-scale for accurate measurements in chambers

By Saket Navlakha

The last of my current barrage of questions :) We are doing growth experiments in chambers. I assume the most accurate measurements will come if we measure The One (Phi2, PhiNPQ, PhiNO) while the plant is in the chamber. But let's say we remove the plant from the chamber, and then measure these values. How long can we wait before we start to get highly different measuremen... read more
