Battery will not charge

Hi! I was refreshing my memory on how to use our MultispeQ 1.0 last week so we could do some measurements on rice. The battery was at around 85% charge as of Wednesday. I updated the firmware to 2.0038. I then left it plugged into the USB port on my laptop overnight, and ever since then the battery has been at 0 and will not charge. I've tried charging through the USB and also plugged directly into the wall. Any advice? Thanks! Diane McCarthy

Hi Diane,
Sorry to hear you are experiencing this problem. Sometimes when the device loses enough charge, it has trouble charging more than it uses. Please try keeping the device plugged in, and hold your finger down on the reset button located at the back of the device for 2-3 minutes. Holding the reset button down should bypass the charge usage. Then, try to connect again. This may take a few tries.
If this does not work, please contact support@photosynq.org, and we will help to further troubleshoot.

Hi, sorry I went offline for a few days there. I have been using the console on the Chrome app on my laptop to show the battery charge. I am going to try Luka's suggestion now and see what happens.

Craig Whippo: I am having a similar problem but the battery stop charges at 60%.
New firmware may have fixed the problem.

Hmmm... There is no longer a "Chrome App" since that is no longer supported by Google. Are you using the new stand-alone App?
If this is the case, then the battery charge indicator is only updated when you connect or run a protocol. Try to open the console and type in the following:
battery
and the charge level should appear in the console text window.

I'm using the stand alone app. I'm just happily documenting that the initial problem from 2018 has been resolved, maybe the problem was caused by the Chrome App instead of the firmware.
