Actinic light -MultispeQ V2.
Technical Support and Questions

Hi,
I wonder whether you could help. We have just ordered a MultispeQ V2. I wanted to know what the actinic light of the MultispeQ is? or is the actinic light used determined by the ambient PAR? I had read that the PAR light received by the PAR sensor is recreated within the chamber via amber LED's. If the actinic light is determined in a macro, is there anyone to edit this?
Thank you in advance.

Hi Laura,
sure we can help. The MultispeQ v2 will have the same LED configuration as the MultispeQ v1. The actinic light is a red light LED, 655nm (Lumileds, LXZ1-PA01), located in the main body and the leaf clamp of the instrument to allow illumination of the leaf from both sides.
Depending on what type of measurement you want to make, you can use the PAR sensor to measure the ambient light intensity in order to set the actinic light, or you can set a fixed light intensity. Both is defined in the measurement protocol. You can easily make those changes and modify the protocol, the way you need it. You can visit the protocol tutorial to get an idea how protocols can be used to set up measurements.
