My position with Syngenta is Global Expert for Technology Acquisition. In this role, I use my expertise at creating collaborations and Open Innovation to address identified market needs resulting in actionable research strategies via integration of external collaborative research projects with internal projects and capabilities. Currently, I am also the incoming Chairman for the Board of Directors of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Research Foundation at North Carolina State University. Prior to joining Syngenta, I managed the Science and Technology Strategy for New Business Ventures in the areas of Health & Nutrition, “BioEconomy Crops” and “BioMaterials” (respectively, Red, Green and White biotechnology) for Bayer CropScience. In addition, I have14 years of International assignment during which I held various positions including Head of Plant Molecular Biology and Fungicide Biochemistry; Director of Genomics and Bioinformatics and Director for the Enabling Technology program in the large French, Public-Private-Partnership on Agricultural Research, Genoplante.
