LAST 12 MONTHS
I am a graduate student at MSU studying the effect of elevated temperature on salicylic acid-mediated defense in Arabidopsis thaliana. My long term research interest is in understanding how plants respond to combined stresses with the objective of optimizing plant fitness under dynamic environmental conditions. I am also passionate about building small, interconnected scientific communities to create optimal learning environments for students and post docs that will motivate and inspire cutting edge scientific research. One of my current efforts towards this goal is The Pub Club (www.thepubclubhub.org).
